Grüne Woche: 'Food towers'

Es funktioniert. Was?

Wow!

Heute: Grüne Woche. Ein Thema: Essen für die globale Menschheit. Ich komme auf die Sache zurück. Suche schlicht: food towers. Und werde sofort fündig. Wähle aus...

"Towers of food, farms in the sky: self-sustaining skyscrapers in the city, vertical farming [and city gardens] gain new interest | Tuesday, May 4, 2010 | Ann Coffey (Ottawa, Canada) sends this report to us on "Vertical Farming". Although city farming on this scale may seem futuristic, the growing need for it today becomes more and more obvious. Moreover, the concept of city gardens is not a new one at all. City gardens is what brought Cuba through their "special period" thanks to the creative thinking of the Cuban government. To learn more about Havana's City Gardens, visit From Harvest to Table and Food Distribution and Back on the Farm, reports we published in 2007. You as an individual may not be able to create a "vertical farm" on the scale depicted below - that's an achievement for progressive governments (hopefully not for big corporations who already control our food supply.) But if you have a small porch, a patch of yard, a city coop garden, rooftop, a wall or a simply a place to hang plants, you can grow at least some of your own food at home - at much less cost and much greater satisfaction. Ann Coffey sent us the following report on grand scale "Vertical Farming" and provided a smart introduction."

Und der passende Wikipedia-Artikel, deutsch,
der so ganz nebenbei zeigt,
dass die deutsche Sprache ständig an Kraft verliert:

Kein griffiger deutscher Ausdruck in Sicht!
'Vertikale Landwirtschaft'?
Ach Gott, nein. Lieber nicht!
